We correct in the open.

Errors are inevitable in publishing. Hiding them is a choice, and it is not ours: this page is where our record lives, whatever it comes to hold.

Effective August 2026 · Last reviewed August 28, 2026
The policy

When we get a material fact wrong, the article is corrected and a dated note on the piece says what changed and why. The note stays. We do not silently rewrite published work: minor fixes of spelling or formatting are made without a note, anything that could have misled a reader is corrected with one.

When an error is significant enough that the piece no longer stands, we say so at the top of the piece rather than removing it. Unpublishing is a last resort, reserved for legal or safety reasons, and is itself noted here.

Report an error

Write to editorial@palmbeach.us with the subject line Correction, the link to the piece, and what you believe is wrong. Include a source if you have one. Corrections requests are read by the publisher and answered within two business days.
