The rules we write by.
Palm Beach runs on reputation. A publication that covers it has to run on the same fuel, so these standards apply to every page on this site, from a restaurant recommendation to a market report.
Every figure we publish carries its source and the date we verified it, in the text or beside it. We prefer primary sources: official releases, filings, recorded data, our own reporting and our own visits. If we cannot verify a claim to that standard, we do not publish it, however good it sounds.
We do not invent detail, composite scenes, or dress assumption as fact. Quotes are never fabricated or improved. When something is our judgment rather than a fact, the sentence is written so you can tell.
Coverage is not for sale. Advertisers and partners do not see, shape or approve editorial work before publication, and inclusion in our guides cannot be bought. Commercial work produced by the Atlantic Desk is labeled as such, visibly and every time.
We pay our own way. If a stay, a meal or an access is ever hosted, the piece says so plainly. We are not affiliated with the Town of Palm Beach, Palm Beach County, Discover The Palm Beaches or any government or tourism authority; our full ownership and funding disclosures are published here.
Article photography is real. We do not publish AI-generated images as editorial photography, we do not lift imagery from hotel or brand websites, and we verify that a photograph shows the place it claims to show. Every photograph carries a credit.
Decorative imagery used in the design of section pages, where it is generated rather than photographed, is labeled as draft imagery until replaced by verified photography. Our full policy on machine assistance is the AI Policy.
Every recommendation is signed. We publish no anonymous reviews, no user-generated ratings and no testimonials we cannot attribute to a real, named person. Guide entries state when the place was last visited or verified.
We publish rankings only with the methodology beside them. A list without a method is an advertisement, and we do not run advertisements dressed as lists.
