Eau sits in Manalapan, ten minutes south of the island proper, and earns its place in a Palm Beach guide by scale alone: 309 rooms and suites on seven acres of private oceanfront, with a 42,000 square foot spa that has long been a draw in its own right.
The property ran as The Ritz-Carlton Palm Beach from the early 1990s until 2013, when it was rebranded as Eau, and changed hands in August 2024, when Oracle co-founder Larry Ellison acquired it from the Lewis Trust Group. It is listed today as Eau Resort & Spa, after years marketed as Eau Palm Beach. For families and for spa-first stays it is the fuller-service alternative to the island's smaller houses, with the trade-off of the address.
