The Brazilian Court has been part of the island's residential quarter since 1926: a low, courtyard-built hotel a few blocks from Worth Avenue that reads more like a compound of Mediterranean apartments than a resort. It is a member of The Leading Hotels of the World.
Its dining room is a destination in its own right. Cafe Boulud, from the New York chef Daniel Boulud, has made the hotel's courtyard one of Palm Beach's dependable tables, and the bar one of its dependable rooms. The hotel's pairing of private-residence quiet and a serious kitchen is the formula the island keeps trying to copy.
