Pan's Garden is the smallest entry in this guide and one of the most instructive: half an acre off Worth Avenue, established in 1994 by the Preservation Foundation of Palm Beach as Florida's first all-native botanical garden, designed by Sanchez and Maddux.
Behind the bronze Pan at the gate, the plantings answer a question the island rarely asks, what this barrier island grew before the gardeners arrived, and do it beautifully enough to repay a detour. It opens daily from 10 to 4, and it pairs naturally with a walk to the Preservation Foundation's own landmark tours.
