Renato's has held the same courtyard in Via Mizner, the 1920s pedestrian lane off Worth Avenue, since 1987, and that continuity is the point. Continental cooking with an Italian accent, jackets in season, candlelight under the bougainvillea: it is the island's keeper of a certain idea of dinner.
More than three decades on, it remains the address for anniversaries and for anyone who wants Worth Avenue as it sounded before the imports arrived. The room rewards booking ahead in season.
