The Colony Hotel

The Colony is the island's pink calling card. Opened in November 1947 a block from Worth Avenue, the British Colonial building by Simson and Holley carries 89 rooms and 16 suites, and a public life, from the pool deck to the bar, that has made it a fixture of the island's social season for three quarters of a century.

The hotel is a family affair: Andrew and Sarah Wetenhall acquired the property in 2016, a continuation of a Wetenhall connection to the hotel that dates to 1970, and have rebuilt it room by room while turning its facade into the town's postcard. It is designated a local historic landmark.
