Via Mizner is the most complete surviving piece of Addison Mizner's idea of how a shopping street should feel: a courtyard lane off Worth Avenue, built in the 1920s with the first stores near the Everglades Club, named for the architect who made it, with his own villa and tower above the shops.

Today it holds small boutiques, galleries and Renato's courtyard tables. It takes four minutes to walk and it is the single best argument for why Worth Avenue is not simply a row of flagship stores.
