The Par 3 is the island's answer to the question of where anyone without a club membership plays golf. Dick Wilson and Joe Lee built the course in 1961; the Town of Palm Beach bought it in 1973 for 5 million dollars; Raymond Floyd redesigned it in 2009.
Eighteen holes sit on 39 acres between the Atlantic and the Intracoastal, several of them along the ocean, and the course takes public tee times with resident and junior rates. For visitors it is the most accessible piece of the island's sporting life.
